Biography
Welcome! I am a Ph.D. job market candidate (2024-25) in the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics at the University of Maryland, College Park. I am an applied microeconomist specializing in non-market valuation in the context of environmental economics, energy economics and agricultural economics. My dissertation investigates willingness to pay for mortality risk reductions through the lens of labor market outcomes, health care expenditure and consumer products. I also work on topics related to farmland values and energy production. My job market paper estimates Chinese consumers' willingness to pay for passenger vehicle safety, providing an updated value of statistical life (VSL) for Chinese residents.
